Speaking of Betty...I have a friend that is having an online Scentsy party and a percentage of all the proceeds will go towards Betty to help her son that was diagnosed with throat cancer last October (he was only 17 at that time) so young and I'm sure it has been a major battle but he sounds like a very strong and great kid, so here is a link to Tori's Scentsy party if you would like to help out...I know I just gotta get my hands on some of that lotion! and here is a link to Tori's Blog post about her party if you wanna check it out.
Or if cooking is more your thing my friend Alison is having a Papered Chef party for Betty just follow this link and click “shop online,” and enter “Betty Roberts” in the boxes...here is a link to Alison's blog for even more details on that.

enjoy nature's splendor

today I have a "Joy fold" and spotlight card to share with you
I really like this fold and the technique I haven't done either in a long time...but with them both being challenges at MFP I thought I'd give it a try once more.
I used my Autumn glory stamp set from MFP and followed the mesurements for the tutorial on MFP I had to alter the front a bit but the others seemed to be perfect! (I did turn it) and with the spotlight I followed that tutorial as well (they have some awesome tutes over there) I stamped my MFP leaf to make some patterened paper and used a lil fall looking flower to hold the card shut...I love how this turned out...if you know me you know I love fall!

thanks for taking a look :)

Eat, Sleep, Fish

today I have another MFP card to share with you (they giveaway stamps as the prize and I really want more of their stamps...I love them...but I can't afford them...so this is what I must do)
this card is featuring the Get Reel stamp set

I stamped my image on some shaving cream swirled paper, then diecut it out and stuck it on a card and put eyelets in my senti and added some twine...and made it very masculine I think :)
I would like to enter this in the Friends of Speedy TV challenge- Vacation and the MFP challenge blog- masculine B-day cards...as it is a card I'm giving my fishing bro for his b-day :)

day at the Beach

I have yet another ATC to share with you :) I just love these lil things!

I was inspired by a few challenges to make a summer themed creation and this is what I came up with

I used some summer stamps I had on hand, and my new Beach stamp from MFP (I only stamped part of the senti)...added allot of glitter to my images, and then for my paper I used some scraps I had...the blue "ocean" paper was made with paints, and the brown ish "beach" paper is a coffee filter dyed with food coloring....this thing has awesome texture!
I would like to enter it in the following challenges

Wicked Wednesday ATC: Life's a beach
Papelitos: anything goes

three friends page

I have a fat page to share with you today

isn't she a cutie? I got the image from A Day For Daisies and I love it!
I colored my image up with pencils then added glitter to her tail and the seahorse's bubbles then I made a background paper with acrylics then added some texture past to the edges and then painted that up, then I took some paper and run it through my cuttle bug and then painted that, added some buttons ribbon gems and more glitter and there I have it! cute huh?
I followed the sketch at The Crazy Challenge, and the Texture challenge at A Day For Daisies
I would also like to enter it in the Fat Pages with Attitude: anything goes challenge

Sassy in the city Carrie

sadly the Sassy Studio's Relay has come to an end...I received my last image last night and I created my last ATC today check it out

this one is Carrie Sassy and she was loads of fun to color...the theme this time was New York or Paris
so I took my atc and a bunch of layers and added a black boarder and my NYC words (I think it was a nail polish ad in a magazine) I added some pink stickles here and there and there I have it!
